Do I need customs paperwork to move from the UK to Belgium now?
Yes. Since Brexit, moving a household from the UK into Belgium is treated as an import and needs a customs declaration on both sides. We prepare the UK export declaration and the Belgian import side, and we handle the household-import documentation. Where you’re making a genuine move of residence, a transfer-of-residence relief can apply — we file the customs side against your Belgian registration; you provide the supporting documents.
How do you actually get my things to Belgium?
We load at your UK address and cross the Channel by Eurotunnel or the Dover–Calais / Dover–Dunkirk ferry, then drive into Belgium on the motorway network to your destination. Belgium is close to the crossing, so it’s one of the more direct European routes. The same team stays with the move door to door.
How long does a move to Belgium take?
It depends on the size of the move, the crossing and the destination — Brussels and the Flemish cities are a short, direct run, while Wallonia is a little further. Rather than quote a day count, your written quote sets out the schedule and what shapes it: consolidation, the crossing chosen, and access at both ends.
Can I send just a part-load rather than a full house?
Yes — part-loads are common on the UK-to-Belgium route, especially for a flat, a first posting, or a few rooms. Your goods travel consolidated with other Belgium-bound moves on the same run, which keeps a smaller move sensible. We set the arrangement out clearly in the quote.
Which Belgian cities do you cover?

What documents will I need for the customs side?
Typically a detailed inventory of what’s moving, your passport or ID, and proof of your move of residence and Belgian address or registration. The exact list depends on your circumstances; we tell you what’s needed for your move and prepare the declarations. We handle the customs process, not immigration or residency applications — those are yours to complete on the Belgian side.
Do you cover moves from Belgium back to the UK too?
Yes — while most of what we do is UK to Belgium, we also handle the return leg, Belgium to the UK, with the customs process run the other way. Tell us the origin and destination and we’ll quote it.
